Peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 Freda passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 91 years. 
Left to mourn Freda’s memory are her sons, Joe (Coke) and Tom (Sandy); grandchildren, Robbin (Clay), Cara (Lloyd) and David (Mick). She is also survived by her brother Ken; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Joe in 1989; parents David and Amalia; sisters Molly, Kay, Emma and Eleanor and brothers, David, Alex and Victor.
Freda was born, raised and lived her entire life on College Avenue in Winnipeg, attending both Faraday and Isaac Newton Schools. She was married in June 1944 at the age of 20. Throughout the years Freda worked for various companies including Globe Bedding, the Hudson's Bay Company, Assiniboia Downs and Sears. She was an avid gardener and was active in the Ladies Scatter Club Bowling League for many years before joining the St. John's Lawn Bowling Club.
After retirement Freda shared many holidays and spent a lot of time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very caring and generous Grandma who loved to travel, taking many bus trips and cruises with friends and family. She will be greatly missed and Saturday mornings will never be the same.
At Mom's request, no service or funeral will be held.
