RICHARD WOJCIK'S WINNIPEG FUNERAL HOME - ELEANOR (DIANE) PUGH FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS

Eleanor (Diane) Pugh
(nee Armstrong)
May 17, 1932 – October 1, 2014

Peacefully at home in the loving care of her family Sharron (John), Ellen (Craig), Jerry (Linda), Chris (Dorothy). She will be sadly missed by her 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Diane was married to our Dad, Geordie Pugh, for 62 years who passed away in April 2013.
Daughter of Charles and Eleanor Armstrong, Diane graduated from Riverbend High School where she won the Inter-Provincial High Jump. She always had a keen interest in sports. While raising her family, Diane enjoyed curling and entered into the MLCA Bonspiels for many years. She was an excellent and avid bridge player. She and Geordie spent many fall seasons hunting together near Gypsumville. Diane was a great fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and especially those Manitoba curlers.
Each summer happy times were spent with all their family at The Lake. Many winter holidays were spent south, and the kids were always invited to join them.
Diane’s culinary skills resulted in the marketing of Granny Diane’s Mustard Pickle in gourmet shops in Western Canada. As the wife of a Gyro Club member Diane was very active in the women’s group, where she made many loyal and lasting friends who will miss her dearly.
In accordance with Diane’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
